Jehus from Yreka: Stagecoaching in Northern California - DVD Rental
Recorded at the 6th Biennial International Carriage Symposium held January 25-27, 2018 in Colonial Williamsburg.
KATHERINE GRAVES worked in public education for thirty-seven years. A love of local history and the discovery of an original mud wagon stored at her local fairgrounds fueled an interest in stagecoaches and the stagecoach era, and a desire to learn more about that whole world. She has spent many happy hours driving along portions of what was the California-Oregon Stage Road (aka “The Big Road”) in her county, visiting extant stage stations and reading about the lives and adventures of all the stakeholders in the stagecoaching world (drivers, passengers, hostlers, farriers, the horses, the stage stations and stops).
